ESA Horse of the Year 2017

13th & 14th October 2017

Friday & Saturday we were at the ESA Horse of the Year 2017 and OMG!!! 2nd time in the Show Hunter ring with Winmallee De Nisha and we have qualified for the Grand National's.

We came RUNNER UP Large Show Hunter Hack.

It is been a very busy couple of days for us and well worth the effort with my amazing horse De Nisha who keeps getting better each time she goes out.

A huge thank you to Anna Jackson for helping me on Friday which was such a long day. We came 3rd in the Graduate Show Hunter Hack.  Thank you to Bridget Beal for helping me today. Thank you to all the people that believed in me and supported me through these days (they know who they are). Thanks to Dakota Jones for feeding all the horses up while I was still out competing on the Friday (love you to our star and back).

Huge thank you to my Sponsor Allstar Browbands (Karen Williams) for making me such a wonderful hunter browband.

Thanks to my wonderful instructors - Sarita Stratton & Nicole Magoffin.  So Proud of my lovely Winmallee De Nisha.

2nd April 2017

What a huge day at Royal Adelaide Breed Show 2017! I was very impressed with De Nisha & Sezanne. This was the first time out since I weaned Sez 3 weeks ok. Could not complain about their behaviour at all. The day started with arriving at the show grounds at 6.30am and leaving the grounds at 3.30pm, a huge day for both girls and especially for Sez being 6 months old.

Very successful day for the girls and De Nisha excelled herself considering this was her first time out with no foal feeding. Her condition is slowly getting back to what a working horse should look like. We had great competition out there today.

A HUGE thank you to my helpers and supporters -  they were amazing - Dakota Jones, Bridget Beal, Tania Wilkinson, Sue Parkinson.

A VERY special big thank you to Dakota Jones for the amazing photography and wonderful preperation of the horses. Thank goodness I have you.

Thank you to my sponsor - Allstar Browbands (Karen Williams) for the lovely brand new browband for First Sezanne.

Another amazing day out with Winmallee De Nisha at the dressage. We did 2 x Elementary tests in the rain. This is my second time riding Elementary and I could not be prouder of my girl.

1st - In the Elementary 3.1 with 61.97%
3rd - Elementary 3.2 with 60.69% (made a few mistakes oops)

De Nisha is proving to be such an amazing horse especially being 4 years of age. She takes everything in her stride and finds the work so easy. Thank you again Nicole Magoffin for you great coaching.

Thank you Dakota Jones for all your wonderful help and great photos.

Looking forward to the next dressage day.  Nearly forgot... thanks Renai Burchell for calling my test which I still stuffed up. I would have won the other test if I actually got it right.

My lovely Winmallee De Nisha did not let me down. We went to Callington Ag show and my god it was windy. There were goods trains going past right where we were competing and a Monster Truck taking rides. Show rides, hairy Clydies, Donkeys and plenty of stuff going on at this show. This lovely girl did not flinch at all.

9th September 2017

Winmallee Condor is available to have lessons on. This is one amazing school horse who is extremely well trained and very quiet. I bred, broke in and trained Condor. He is by Statford Novalis and out of my amazing Winmallee Emerald (Emmy). He is now a 10 year old and has come back to me for awhile as a school horse. His owner is finding it hard to find the time to work him so she has offered him to me to use. It is so wonderful to have him back and to be able to ride him and let people have the experience of riding such an amazing horse.

Condor was a very successful show and dressage horse when he was a colt and continued to be successful as a gelding. He will be going back into the show and dressage ring again shortly.  He was AWHA Led & Ridden stallion of the year 2011, has many supreme champions under his belt and many dressage wins.

Condor is trained in all his lateral movements, walk to canter, pirouettes, lengthen stride in both canter and trot, Spanish Walk and many other movements.

If you would like to experience of riding a wonderfully trained horse you are welcome to book in for a lesson.

27th August 2017

Well that was a huge day for such a young girl. I took Sezanne to the Gawler show today to do the Pinto classes. So much going on with all the side shows and horses. What a good girl for a 11 month old. She is now huge so the leading was not our best due to so much going on. Good practice today.

Had an awesome day with my lovely Winmallee First Sezanne (by Sezuan). Went to the Pinto Show at Mt Pleasant, competed in the Pinto & Open ring. She was such a well behaved girl especially only being a yearling. We had good competition and she stood up well against the season show horses.

This young girl is just the most amazing baby and I am so proud of her. Stood at the float like a grown up.

Huge thank you to Melanie Sabeeney for all your help and the amazing photos.

24th September 2017

First time competing in the Show Hunter ring & first Ag show today for Winmallee De Nisha. I could not be happier with her, she did not put a foot out of place, in the gale force winds today at Murray Bridge Ag Show. This amazing girl I can take anywhere and she never complains and always listens to me no matter what. I must say after a long windy day today I do prefer the dressage.

Today's results:
1st - Show Hunter hack over 16hh
1st - Show Hunter Hack over 16.2hh
2nd - Open Show hunter Hack over 16hh
3rd - Show Hunter hack over 16.2hh
Reserve Champion Show Hunter Hack

I always remind myself no matter how wonderfully my horses work it is the judges' personal decision on what type of horse they like. As long as my horse performs for me with no tension or stress this is what it is about. I do enjoy the day out with my horses.

Looking forward to doing some more dressage test, love the dressage. :)

Thank you Sue Parkinson for helping me out today and taking photos. Thank you Sarita Stratton for your coaching. Thanks for your Sponsorship Allstars Browbands.Maddie Shoesmith well done for attending your first hack show and coming out unscathed.

11th September 2017

Winmallee De Nisha was just so perfect today at her first official EA hack show. Foot perfect work outs and I was so proud. We now need to go Show Hunter as she has got way too much bone for a hack now. This was the only let down for her as she was a little heavy for a hack.

1st - Heavyweight Hack
1st - Hack over 16hh
2nd - Hack over 16.2
2nd - Hack over 15hh
Reserve Champion Hack

Cannot complain about those results at all, would have gone champion if she was not so heavy.

Thank you Isobel Falster for your help and great photography. Thank you Allstars Browbands (Karen Williams) for your sponsorship and my lovely new browband. Was lovely to see you Skye Haagmans and sorry we did not get time to chat.
