In memoriam

Santonia was a lovely mare who unfortunately passed away in 2014 at the age of 5 giving birth to her second foal.

Bon Braxton is the only foal from her so this makes him extra special to many people.

The below video is in memory of this lovely mare and made by her owner Christina Beuke. It shows her when she was a foal and then growing up and finally with Bon Braxton when he was born.

Thank you Christina for allowing me to purchase this one of a kind foal from you. He will be an amazing horse and is the best of care.

Highly elegant sire with an outcross pedigree and a top performance record

Bon Bravour

Bay, KWPN, *2006, 173 cm Stm.

by Painted Black – Chronos/Trak. – Linards x

Bon Bravour was one of the most popular stallions at our station in 2012. That’s not surprising because so many superlatives come to mind when you see this impressive dressage stallion and his unbelievably elastic, light-footed movements, enormous impulsion and a talent for collection that is simply marvelous. Bon Bravour won the KWPN stallion show series in 2012 and 2011, took the Reserve Champion title in the 2011 Dutch Pavo Cup and then finished fifth with his permanent rider, Tom Franckx-Goen, in the 2011 World Championships in the class for five-year old dressage horses. In 2012 he again qualified for the Final but had to be withdrawn because of an injury. He often received scores above 9.0 – also for his walk which is distinguished by long strides!

With his noble looks, which are certainly the result of the Trakehner genes in his pedigree which have also proved themselves in sport, Bon Bravour stands out in a crowd. His sire, Painted Black, won international Grand Prix competitions with Anky van Grunsven before continuing his career under his Spanish rider, Morgan Barbancon. Painted Black is by Edward Gal’s successful Gribaldi, a Trakehner Champion Stallion who wins ribbons in Grand Prix, which makes him a half-brother of Totilas. The dam’s sire Chronos also won ribbons in international Grand Prix with Anne van Olst. Bon Bravour’s dam, Odette, has proved to be a highly valuable mare for dressage horse breeding and the dam line is the origin of numerous horses that were successful in advanced level dressage such as Joy, a ribbon winning international Grand Prix horse, but also the internationally successful show jumpers Valent, Viking and Ralarnike as well as many licensed stallions.
